Blonde Wood Pedestals
Based on Turkish antiques we found in Texas, these rustic paddles make a festive presentation of everything from cheese plates to birthday cakes. Each hand-hewn board is finished with food-safe wax that highlights the natural beauty of the wood. Mini: 9.5" long x 6.5" wide x 3.5" high Small: 19" long x 11.5" wide x 6" high Medium: 23" long x 10.5" wide x 3" high Large: 31.5" long x 16" wide x 5" high Hand carved of mango wood with a rustic worn finish. Each paddle is unique and will have distressed imperfections to give that worn look and appeal. Monogramming is available at an additional charge. Monogram will be placed along one side on the top of the pedestal.

I bought this pedestal in the largest size as a birthday gift for one of my closest friends and she looooooved it! It is HUGE-perfectly sized to accommodate a nice selection of cheeses, fruits and accoutrements. Kudos to Pottery Barn for giving the wood such a nicely aged look, as if it's been passed down for generations, as opposed to being newly purchased! She just mentioned that she used it this past weekend and two of her guests asked if she would mind if they bought themselves one as well; so, I guess that's the best compliment!

I purchased the blonde wood pedestals in mini, small, and medium sizes. I had the small and medium monogrammed. I chose not to monogram the two mini pedestals because I figured anything sitting on them would cover the initials. I was planning on utilizing these at my Cinco de Mayo party--even though they are based on "Turkish" antiques. The pedestals are sturdy enough for use--or look great as a display. I actually have a small bird nest sitting on a mini pedestal. I suggest paying close attention to the dimensions as they are substantial in size. They look pretty much as pictured. I used Beekeepers Gold (wood preserver) on one of the pedestals as it did not appear as conditioned as the others. I bought four--so yes, I am happy with my purchase.

This is a nice wood pedestal. The only thing about it that I don't like is the handle. I would rather it have no handle for appearance reasons only.
