Blackout Drape Liner

Designed as a layering piece under other drapes, our dense Blackout Drape Liner blocks light, absorbs noise, insulates against heat and cold, and protects drapery, rugs and furniture from fading. Blackout lining minimizes light filtration. Hangs from pole pockets or converts to ring-top style with the included drapery hooks. Use with 10 Clip or Round Rings (sold separately). Woven of 67% polyester-33% cotton. Liner is 4" shorter and 4" narrower to fit snugly behind the drapes. Cosy blackout liner
November 14, 2012
These liners are very good. Pottery Barn have changed the fabric since I bought our first set - the earlier ones were heavier and more obviously synthetic. These ones are softer and hang more naturally. I recommend buying them because they keep out more drafts and so reduce those heating bills!

May not need the double rod
October 27, 2012
Just wanted to mention that you may not need to buy double rod for this product depending on your drapes. Seeing these photos, we bought the PB Standard Double Drape rod, but the black out liner hooked to the back of our Amelia Drapes with the drapery hooks - so we could have purchased the single rod instead - and it would then hang closer to the window/block out more light.

Okay--wish sizing was better
September 3, 2012
These do work to blackout the room. I put them behind white curtains and they definitely help block the light. My only complaint is that they are not sized the same as my pottery barn curtains...so they overlap on the ends since they are wider than the curtains. Other than that, they do work.

Blackout Liners
August 27, 2012
I can't believe through all the positive comments regarding this product, no one has mentioned the bizarre color of the liners! I had to return these because they were not going to be "hidden" and that baby blue color would show under our ivory drapes. The main photos of the liner show a bluish tint (and it's not just a blue tint, it's much more colorful), but the smaller images clearly show an off-white color liner. I was disappointed at just how blue these were.

blackout liner
January 5, 2012
origially ordered the 46 x 80and they were too long, I then returned them and ordered the 46 x 59 which where too short, leaving about an an inch in a half open at the top. Not completely satisifed but will do.

Really darkens the room!
August 19, 2011
I found that the material used in the liner is the only effective material that really blocks out heat and light. For people who work shifts this is a way to get the room dark. The product is heavy, so be sure to have a rod that will support the added weight.

Blackout Lines
August 17, 2011
Works well to block out light-highly recommend it. Online ordering and delivery system was great. As a side note, when buying the curtain rod, be conscious about how far the liner will be from the window, this affects how much light will enter the room. The liners work great if close to the window.

nice, wide blackoutliners
July 22, 2011
We use these in our son's room along with the Cameron drapes to cut out the light(distractions) for nap/bed time. Most other liners aren't more than 27" wide so this was a nice find.

Got the job done, easy to hang
May 5, 2011
These make the drapes completely opaque and block out sunlight and sound. They were very easy to hang, one end has loops, the other end is designed for rod pocket, so you can have a choice as to how you hang it. I put the blackout liner on the same drapery hooks that the actual drape hangs from and it works perfect to create 1 seamless drape. If you were thinking about hanging the blackout liner on a separate rod from the drape so you can open/close separately, I wouldn't suggest that. The material is so heavy that it doesn't slide easily on the rod easily.

Huge difference in darkening a room
November 25, 2010
These do really help with the light coming through the silk dupioni drapes. They don't marry up well with the placement of the drapery hooks on the drape being narrower, but they work well.

Blackout Drape Liner
October 3, 2010
I love the blackout drap liners. I ordered these for my slider in the master bedroom. They block the light and keep the room cool. I would recommend the liners especially if you have windows that face east and or west.
