Drawn from vintage wallpaper, the fanciful songbirds and flowering branches of our rug are captured with nuanced color and shading. Shedding of loose fibers is normal and is a natural result of the process used to create our high-quality handmade wool rugs. With regular vacuuming and proper care, the shedding will diminish. Beautiful! More brown than cream colored...

This rug is so gorgeous! The colors are even more beautiful in person... online it looked like it would be very bold on an ivory base (even the description said ivory), but in person, the base color is more of a light taupe - definitely not ivory! But it's really beautiful with muted colors - before ordering, I was worried about the blue being too bold, but it's a lovely shade of blue that compliments the rug so nicely.
I'll also add that there is no red in this rug - it's more of a terra cotta with shades of orange red, but there is no vibrant red like what was displayed on my computer screen...

Bought this rug 5x8 almost 2 years ago, put it in the office room, so beautiful and looks like new, LOVE IT ! Great pattern and colors.

The quality of this rug is 5 star. I was disappointed with the color. I thought the background would be a creamy color as it is in the picture. The background is actually a pale taupe color and the oranges, blues and greens are not as vibrant as pictured.

I was nervous about this rug... the colors looked SO bold on the monitor, but as others have said it's much more muted in person. The birds are a soft blue, and there are tones of mustard, sage, khaki, russet, and more. Looks so great contrasted with my Ikea Ektorp sofa with the white slipcover. A few wool pillows in colors that compliment this awesome rug, and I'm all set. You won't regret it!

This rug is beautiful. It is not bright but it has all the softer hues of sage green, grey blue, beige, muted red and it looks wonderful in my dining room over my wood floors. It does not take over the room it compliments the room. I love this rug. I ordered the 9 x 12 and it fits perfectly under my Sumner Table and eight chairs. Thank You Pottery Barn.

It is a very high quality rug but does not resemble the rug advertised on the website.
On the Pottery Barn website this rug is shown whith an off-white background and vivid red, blue, and green colors.
Actually the rug has a light brown background with drab, faded, and dark red, blue, and olive colors.

I have three of these rugs in my kitchen/breakfast room area. They are so cheery, and I love the bird and floral motif. We liked that we could get the same pattern in different sizes. The rugs are very soft underfoot, and our pets love to lay on them. We've had many compliments on the rugs from visiting friends.

The rug looks like it does in the picture. The light background is perfect for my darker wood floors and the colors are also true to the photograph. What I really love is the value - a good quality rug for under $700. It makes my living space feel very comfortable and cozy. My friends have all commented on how beautiful the rug looks in the room. When I saw this rug online, I immediately knew it was what I was looking for. It arrived in less than 2 weeks and was just as beautiful as it looked in the picture. The thickness is great and it brings by bedroom to life. Love, love, love it!

I was a little disappointed that the color quality was not as vivid and vibrant as the swatch above or the picture in the book. Overall the quality of the workmanship is quite good and pleasing.

This rug is so pretty! The colors in the picture seem a tad brighter than they actually are, though. The background isn't as ivory looking as it appears in the picture. It's more of an oatmeal type color. All of the colors are just a tad more muted. However, it is still a beautiful rug, and I'm very satisfied with it. I would purchase it again in a heartbeat.

The quality of this rug is excellent. I shopped for rugs costing thousands of dollars when I visited Turkey. I decided then that I would get my next rug from Pottery Barn because the quality was as good as rugs costing thousands. I love the colors and the design of this particular rug. It looks very nice in my living room with my sofa and other decor.

From reading other comments before I purchased, I was prepared for the back ground color to be darker than pictured - It is not as dark as others have mentioned. The rug looks great and I LOVE IT! I have received so many compliments.
