Gorgeous and functional until you use it

I've had this table for about a year and a half. It's one of the nicest wooden furniture items we've bought from PB/PBK. I love the look and the style along with the slide out drawers. However, I hate to see my kids go anywhere near it. It has nicks and gouges and they do not make the coffee table look more "weathered, rustic, or charming". My hubby says no more pottery barn furniture...it's just not worth it for the price. Disappointed.

We bought the whole line - kitchen table, bench, coffee table, entertainment center - 6 months ago. Huge knicks, and scratching on everything from normal wear. The seams have begun to show on the coffee table - will be replacing everything through the local store.

I was so excited to buy this table because it matched our decor well and it was in a decent price range for PB. After only 1 month, I noticed the stain coming off by the bottom part. Then just 2 weeks ago, there is a huge nick (from I don't know where) and another spot where the stain is coming off. I am hoping that PB let's me return or exchange this table since it was an early Christmas gift for my husband. Well see!

After owning the table for 6 months the finish has started to come off. I wish pottery barn offered a little jar of stain to touch up the table.

This piece is a nice big solid coffee table, that has room to do a table-scape on it and still have room to put your feet up on it. Plus the drawers are great to hide little things like the remote and the bottom shelf is a great extra storage area.

I cannot say enough good things about this table. The color is exactly as it appears in the pictures and I love the rustic look between the color and the worn appearance.
We've had this table and the side table for 3 weeks and there are no issues at all. In reading the reviews, we are using coasters to proactively prevent any scratches but we have a lap top, use dinner plates and coffee table books on it and I dont see any signs of wear.

I also have to say the delivery team (Ron and Eddie) were on time and very friendly. It was nice they remembered me and my husband from past deliveries. i was happy the side table was already put together.

Piece of junk. Finish is terrible - simple bumps scratch down to bare wood. One of the legs broke off from being hit by a vaccuum. 2 months old and looks terrible already.

Distressed look helps hide wear 'n tear

I got this coffee table in August. It is a great accent to my other PB furniture and accessories. The drawers are a great feature for hiding little things.
I love how the distressed look hides the damage. Between my 2 kids and my Christmas tree falling down on top of the coffee table, I have already managed to get a few dents and scratches. However, these aren't really noticeable and actually blend in with the distressed character of the piece.
I also have the Benchwright buffet, and my only complaint is that the hardware on the two pieces is different so it's not an ideal "match."

We have been shopping for a coffee table for some time and almost bought a table that looked like this one, but about half the cost. Glad we didn't as this one is so much better. It is a very substantial table, and also love the dark wood. I can see this piece lasting a long time.

This coffee table is so beautiful! We absolutely love it! We haven't had any problems with scratches (for the reviewer who did, contact PB for a touch up kit). We love that it has drawers, which is great for us to hide our TV remotes. I also love the shelf on the bottom. We were hesitant to purchase this since it was so expensive for a coffee table, but we are so glad that we did. It is very sturdy and there are adjustable plastic feet on the bottom, which are great for our wood floors to prevent scratching. The table matches our benchwright dining room furniture and we constantly receive compliments on all of our benchwright pieces. Be sure to order this in the store to bypass the exorbitant shipping fee that is tacked on when purchasing online. Also, in store, they deliver up to 4 or 5 pieces of furniture locally for one price (the price in parenthesis), which is not on a per item basis like it is online.

I loved this table in the catalogue and it is even more beautiful in person. Gorgeous wood distressing and color. Well made, very solid and just beautiful!! Adds so much to our livingroom, we are totally pleased with this purchase as we are with all our Pottery Barn furniture.

This coffee table and end table are GORGEOUS! Rush out and but them now! They are solid, well built and add alot of class to the room. They are darker than they seem in the picture and even the store though because they always put them with a white couch to offset the color. I love it! Now I want a white couch!

to j33nah; the coffe table is a nice piece of furniture. The odd "thud" when you close the drawers are the magnets that keep the drawers closed if you were to put too much weight in one end of the drawer. The magnets are a nice feature to an exceptional piece of furniture.

Great quality piece of furniture. And it is wonderful to have the little extra storage space. I am very pleased with it and the gentlemen who delivered it were very nice and thoughtful.
