PB Found Authentic Kantha Throw
To create these softly layered cotton throws, women in India save the fabric from their favorite saris and stitch them together using colorful thread. 60" wide x 88" long (approximate) Pure cotton. Each unique piece has pattern and color variations; let us choose for you. Colors are mellowed by years of washing. Limited quantity available. For decorative use only; due to the delicate nature of the fabric, washing and professional cleaning are not recommended. Catalog / Internet only. Imported.

Loved the First One...

I ordered one of these "Found Authentic Kantha Throws" and was very happy when it arrived. It was brightly colored on both sides. I loved it so much I ordered another. I wasn't so happy with the second one. It was brightly colored on one side, however the other side was solid ivory with a little light colored embroidery that was difficult to see. I was so disappointed I sent it back. I understand each of these throws are different. I just expected the second one to be at least as pretty as the first.

I ordered the Kantha throw but had been hesitant about it. Once I got it I was thrilled - the throw is gorgeous - such wonderful colors and designs!I love it t - it is in our guest room on a rocking chair - the best!

I loved the idea of this blanket, but when it was ordered there was no way to pick a color. I was just hoping it would come in a color i could use. The color ( orange/brown ) was so far from my color scheme I had to return the blanket.

i had no problem with it at all..the only downside is you can not pick the one you want..but still worked out great for me..and i think not knowing was half the fun

I took a gamble as you couldn't pick out which pattern or color that you wanted, they would just ship you one. And the gamble was bad. It was the ugliest dull throw that I have ever seen. I wouldn't be able to give this to anyone nor less use it in my own home. It was returned. I won't do that ever again. I expect beauty when I purchase from pottery barn.

I was disappointed. The fabric didn't have enough color variety. Your photo gave me the impression that this piece would be more pieced, not just a large printed fabric. Also you sent me primarily a green throw, the worst color for my room.

This is one of those "let us pick one for you" items. Honestly, it all surprisingly worked out! At first I looked at the throw and thought this is the throw I never would have chosen...ever. But, I decided to give it a go or it was going back. I decided that the blue/green/voilet color would add a little variety to an otherwise earthtone room. It worked. Great quality. Not thrilled with the idea of letting PB select for me, but it worked this time. Maybe there could be a note line that we could make a general color/pattern request.

These throws are beautiful, with 100% cotton you can't go wrong. Very soft and lightweight. Dry-cleaning is recommended; however, I washed mine on a hand-wash cycle and put it in the dryer for 10 minutes on the lowest setting. I let it air-dry under a ceiling fan and have no regrets. It looks like it did out of the package. My wish is that Pottery Barn would let customers choose a color pattern/scheme. Luckily I received a green one that I love, ordered a second one that is orange and will have to be returned. I'm hoping for a purple family one with my re-order.

Had to return this throw, only because the colors I received were terrible. The hand made pick stitching is obvious and the throw can be beautiful with the right fabric for you. Hit or miss with colors is the problem.

The 1st one I received had a large black mark on it so I returned it. I just received the replacement today - it's a beautiful purple color but I would rather have harvest colors, if I'm being honest. This one also has a big black mark on it too. Is this normal?

I liked the throw, but the colors matched absolutely NOTHING I owned. I will be returning this. I wish I would have looked at the comments prior to ordering. It's probably a good idea to order more than one & then keep the one that matches your decor the best.

There were ink stains on my throw as if a ball point pen had leaked in several places.
If you fold it a certain way you can hide the stains. It's easier than returning it and less costly but I would not recommend the item.

Didn't meet expectations

I love these throws but there are some drawbacks; you can't choose the pattern/colors that you like and the throw is NOT washable. The biggest disappointment is that they are very crudely made. I understand how they are made but they are pretty shabby. Mine has one small patch sewn onto it and a larger one on the corner. There are also a few small holes in some spots. If I didn't love the pattern so much, I would definitely return it for a refund. Have to keep these details from my husband!

I have wanted this throw for quite some time and was so upset when I saw that previously they had sold out. I was MORE excited to see that they are back and I had to have one. I read the reviews and too was leary about spending the money for a throw I could not see nor touch before purchase. But, I liked the idea of ordering more than one, and returning the one I didnt want, or both if I didnt like either and would try 'er again (Sometimes a girl just has to treat herself!) However, my only warning on this item is that it is MORE beautiful than I expected and such a great size that I can wrap up in it in my favorite chair and be comfortable and cozy for hours! Second warning....I ordered 2 and they are both so awesome and beautiful that I cant bear to return one! (Now I have to hide one from my husband...) Definately a great throw that I know not everyone will have and so glad I purchased! Enjoy!

I had been searching for a unique light weight throw to give to a friend for her birthday. I also ordered one for myself. When they arrived, one looked like it had been spattered with a dark liquid, and the other had a hole in it. I returned both?

Problem solved. I always order many more than I want so I can pick my favorite from the bunch. It cost me a little more in shipping but worth every penny to get the one I truly love.

Yes its true you cannot choose the color or design, but I love mine!
I bought it late last year and it looks great.
Nice to snuggle up with when watching a movie or reading a book, it is warm.
I have had mine professionally cleaned and it came out fine.
Am thinking about getting another one, I love it because its unique.
