These salt and pepper shakers are wonderful. Not only do they look like they have been used for many generations but they are very smooth to unscrew and the grains of salt and pepper pour out with ease. Happy about this purchase.

Nice but dinged

I really liked the look of these, and they are a nice size, but one of the shakers had a ding in it as soon as I took it out of the box that I initially thought was part of the "antique" look, so I threw away the packaging. But every time I use it, that ding makes me crazy and I realize now that it likely wasn't part of the antique charm and it was probably just a damaged shaker. But it's my own fault for throwing away the packaging, since Pottery Barn has always been great with returns in the past. But other than that, I really like the product.

These S&P shakers are great. I loved them online, and love them just as much in person. Bought two sets so that I have one for each end of the table. I really like that they can be used with both formal and causal settings. Only complaint is that the lid feels a bit cheap compared to the body.

The Antique-Silver Salt & Pepper Shakers are as attractive "in person" as they are in the photos on line. We are enjoying the look of them as well as the use of them. I am happy I purchased two sets - one for each end of the table. Lovely product!

Great Looking antique rustic S & P shakers

I liked these so much I ordered a second set for when I have a larger dinner party! They are fancy, yet rustic looking. Just what I was looking for. The only bad thing I would have to say is that they don't shake out quite enough salt or pepper. Could do more. Otherwise, great value and great looking.

I saw these online and fell in love with them immediately. They are so cute, I just had to order them. They are very pretty and a very nice quality. They are also easy to clean because there is a plastic liner inside of them. The shakers are a good size and they will look nice on many different types of table settings. This set is both a decorative accent and a useful item! I just love them!

My husband and I love these salt and pepper shakers! They're very elegant and have a great vintage feel that adds subtle, fun detail to your kitchen. They are surprisingly light weight, and the inside is lined with plastic so that the metal does not rust. I definitely recommend them.

I started with the antique silver carving set. And then every piece after that! I really love. I can use at every table top just as I can with my other PB table items. I can make it a bit casual or fancy. To top it all off they are affordable thank goodness!

Very nice, and I'm very pleased. They are a comfortable size, will look nice on a table and are convenient to use for just adding just a little salt or pepper to a snack, without worrying that they could slip and break.

I saw these items in a local Pottery Barn Store but they apparently were sold out. The salesperson was quite nice and reviewed the online availability and they were there. I went home , ordered and they arrived just fine.
Very pleased with the local storer staff (Providence Place Mall) and to make it the best....I received free shipping...very much the deciding factor.

my salt/pepper shakers

i had been looking for shakers for quite some time. i wanted a pepper shaker, not a mill. these are not readily available anymore. they are durable. i was concerned that not being able to see the salt/pepper within the container, might be an aggravation; but no it is not. i do love that they are metal. they are so unique. i do wish they were just a little bit larger. they are very handy to keep on our kitchen table. one thing for sure--they are not going to break. no regrets on purchasing these.

I think these are beautiful. They have a subtle luster that looks as though they've been around for years. I can see why some people think they're more "rustic" but I think they can mix with anything.

These look antique except for the tops (they look like replacement tops).They work well and are nice additions to an classic breakfast nook but I wish they would have made the tops out of the same material
