I had my eye on this set since I ordered my new cheese board. I finally ordered them and could not be happier. They are so pretty, have a substantial weight, and work very well. They look so wonderful with my beautiful Camembert Marble Cheese Board, also from Pottery Barn. I always get complements on them!

We love this set! It looks "old" like everything else in our home - but in a good way not a dated way. The quality is excellent. The handles are perfectly weighted and the cheese names on the handles add a nice touch. We keep the set on our bar where it coordinates beautifully with our PB bar tools. You won't be disappointed with this purchase!

These cheese knives are a nice addition to our serving tray. They are heavy and look rustic. The style of each knife is suited to the type cheese that is engraved on the handle. Wonderful gift for a cheese lover.

When these arrived I was a little surprised by how truly "old" they look- this was fine with me as I love antiques/vintage etc, but some may think the engraved cheese names are a little hard to read (they obviously are made to look "weathered by time"). I really like them & think the relatives I bought them for will as well but just keep in mind when ordering that when they say "antique-silver" -they really look that way when they arrive! I was looking for a unique gift for "the wine & cheese type" (who have most everything) & these are perfect.

I have the silver serving scoop

I understand the last reviewers concern. I also put it in my dishwasher and on the pot scrub setting. Unfortunately for me, I forgot the fact that these are hand wash only, the sticker was on the back, but it made it through with a slight change in color. I use cascade packets with the jet dry included. I will not put them in the dishwasher again. It was explained when I bought them and a sticker on the item saying hand wash only. Plated silver is never recommended for dishwasher. We all make mistakes and cannot hold Pottery Barn accountable.

to be fair there are really very few things that SHOULD go into the dishwasher. Even when the packaging indicates that say, your knives for instance, are dishwasher safe, really they should always be cleaned by hand. This goes for just about anything with any kind of finish, detail, coating, etc. HANDWASH!

that nice finish came off in dishwasher!

I bought a set of these cheese knives and a double set of the spreaders, since we entertain a lot and I loved the look of these.
HOWEVER-dont put them in the dishwasher! My new kitchenaide dishwasher took the finish right off, and now they are gray and pitted!
Not happy with them at all. I dont know if there was a disclaimer to warn against putting these in a dishwasher, but who would think to look for that?
I'm glad i didnt get a whole set of the plated silverware......
