Museum Craft Collection - American Folk Art Museum Rooster Weather Vane
While weather vanes are a folk art that originated in Europe, the craft reached its greatest development in America. We worked closely with the esteemed American Folk Art Museum in New York, established to honor folk art as a vital element in American cultural history, to re-create this stamped-tin weather vane from their collection. Our reproductions have the green patina of oxidized copper. 23" long x 4.5" wide x 25.5" high Rooster made of stamped iron sheet metal with a patina finish. Mahogany wood base. Catalog / Internet only.

My mom and I both bought this weathervane at different times. We both agree the wood and the rooster were much darker then they appear online. I still love the product. It is big, I don't think you expect it to be so tall. Fair price for what you get.

I bought this for my husband who now loves chickens from our wedding in key west. It blends in well with the decor and is such a great conversation starter. Everyone who comes over comments on it and says how interesting it is! We absolutely love it!

I tried to order this item when it first appeared in the catalog in October, but it sold out fast. So as soon as i saw it again, I ordered immediatly before it sold out . I love roosters and this one is beautiful.

A bit too flimsy

I'm very disappointed in this rooster. I thought it would be very sturdy, based upon other reviews. I found it to be a bit too flimsy for the price. I am sending it back for a refund. It's a nice piece if you can justify 80.00 for something that is basically tin.
