Adjustable Column Table & Bedside Lamp Base
Our Adjustable Column Table and Bedside Lamp Bases feature a sliding mechanism that lets you adjust them to the optimal height. Double pull chains activate 2 bulbs, which operate individually or in tandem. Crafted of solid brass. Pair bedside lamp with our small Linen Drum Shade. Pair table lamp with our medium Linen Drum Shade, or top either size with any of our Mix & Match(R) shades (all shades sold separately). On/off pull-chain switch; CFL compatible. This is a really beautiful lamp. Clean lines with the adjustment knob adding just a touch of interest to the piece. I could use this in any room of the house. So many shades to choose from when Pottery Barn continues to offer new looks.
I had been waiting to buy this lamp for some time. My day finally came!

I got 2 brushed nickel adjustable column table lamps for my bedroom and I absolutely LOVE them. The ability to change the height is an incredible feature and makes them extremely versatile. They are sturdy and look very rich. Also, they have a nice blend of modern style with a conservative flair. You cannot go wrong with this lamp!!!

I purchased the lamps for a gathering room. Although I thought they were a bit pricey i do like the idea that you can dim the bulb. They do look nice on my tables

Beautiful lamp, but....

I love the lamp and shade - they are exactly what I wanted. My only complaint was the pole was slightly bent. I can live with it, but it was a little disappointing. Otherwise, I really like the look and function on the lamp.

This is a nice, heavy lamp, but is really a desk lamp, not a table lamp. When on an end table, the bulbs are visible when sitting in a chair. I would not recommend this for an end table, but rather for a desk.

Crooked when assembled

Just put together. It sits cock-eyed due to the post you have to screw in at the top to hold the shade. No amount of adjusting would fix it. Also, the pull chains were extremely hard to pull. I may exchange it to see if I just got a "lemon" ~ the lamp in the store had good pull chains...It is nice looking and heavy, but not worth the price if this is a common problem.

I bought this lamp as a compliment to the matching floor lamp, and I'm just thrilled with the pair. Excellent quality throughout. VERY easy to assemble - I couldn't be happier.

I bought one of these lamps for my living room. Within a few days of purchase, one of the little metal balls on the end of the pull chain fell off. I should have returned the lamp but had already thrown away the receipt. I have not been able to figure out a way to put the ball back on. For the amount of money this lamp costs, I would expect a better product.

I have these lamps on my nightstands. They look just like the picture - very nice. I didn't have the problem the other person had. It has two chains, one for each bulb. It's never jammed. It's a nice lamp.

Nice looking, but non-functional lamps

When you pull the pull-chains to turn the lamps on/off or regulate the lighting (either chain on either lamp) they jam up. As a result the only way to turn off the lamp is to unplug the cord from the outlet in the wall. After you unplug the cord from the outlet you can 'fix' the lamp but unscrewing everything and taking apart the hardware to have everything properly line up again to where it functions properly for 1-2 times before jamming up again.
The lamps look great but they are a big pain in terms of maintenance, especially in a guest room. If you do not tell guests how to 'properly' use the lamps - they jam.
We put both lamps in our guest room and did not use them for awhile. As a result we missed the 30-day return policy. I would even be happy with an exchange. It is our fault for not paying better attention. But I wanted to warn others, as the lamps are expensive -- especially to not work properly.
