These look great on each side of the bed and are great for reading in bed...just wish they would have been designed with cord covers.

The first sconce I ordered was never delivered, so I called to complain and was sent another one. The second one is okay but much smaller than the previous wall sconce I purchased from PB years ago.

I needed a light to attach to the side of a cabinet that would project the light around to the front. This sconce was perfect and very good quality.

These are well made and give off the perfect amount of light - not too bright when laying right under them but lights the room. We ordered the bronze finish which goes perfectly with our dresser hardware.

Perfect! Super easy to assemble...look perfectly simple & mounted 2 of them on either side of my bed and they put off just the right amout of light (w a 40watt bulb) to read at night with out disturbing your partner. Big fan!

I bought this sconce in the silver-y or stainless looking finish. It's in a living room with a mix of modern & traditional furnishings (eclectic I would say). It is a perfect addition to the traditional portion of the decor. It looks much better up on the wall than I thought it would. Absolutely love it.

I chose the white colour as my newly painted bedroom is charcoal grey and a crisp white but when I opened the package after having the sconces shipped they weren't "white"...they were an off white or cream colour!! So I had to spray paint them white!!

Ordered these lamps for my bedside lamps...love them! Elegant, easy to install and great lighting. Mounted them next to my headboard and so easy to turn on and off!

The template that came with the sconce was supposed to indicate the spacing for the holes on the back of the wiring box. The template included did not match. The holes were spaced at least 1 inch too wide apart on the template. I ended up with four holes in the wall, not two. It will be messy if I ever want to take it down.

The style of these sconces is great, but the color of the "bronze" is more a dark grey or dark pewter -- not bronze at all. Also, the tag notes that touching the "brass" (which is under the bronze finish and touched a lot) will expose you to lead. With these two problems, they are on the way back. Unfortunate, because the style is great. Customer service has been good, too.

Bought 2 for my bedroom as shown in catalog. Packed very well but so tightly that lampshades are "dented" in exactly the same place on both. Install was simple. So far way too bright with 25 W bulbs. Just bought 15 W, hopefully that will help.

Really makes a room look good, but hard to put up

We have been looking for lights for our bedroom for awhile and decided to get these lights... they look great up, but they are hard to put together. The template that is in the box does not match the actual light (the screw holes are further apart on the template than on the actual light), so we had to redrill holes. Once up, though, they look beautiful on either side of the bed. We also had a problem with a ding in one of the lamp shades, but Pottery Barn said they'd send us a new one -- thanks! I would give this 5 stars for how they look, but I'm taking a star off because of the difficulty we had putting it up.

I've wanted new lamps at our bed but cant do permanent - hardwired- so these were perfect. They look classy but only take two screws to hang. However, the alignment on one of them was off. Between the back plate (screwed to the wall) and the lamp itself that gets attached to the back plate there is a half inch off so when it is "secure" on the wall it doesn't hang vertical. Also, in the photos they do a good job of straightening the cord so this lamp almost looks like a floor lamp. I've not been able to get our cords straight enough, so it looks less classy. I am happy with the finish/colors I think the photos are a great representation of the product.

I was so upset that the template sent with these sconces did not match the sconce. I had to pay a handyman to come in to patch the holes from the drilling that I had done from the template and then I had to try to match my existing paint to cover it up. It was very upsetting and incurred a cost. The sconces themselves are very nice.

The sconces look great in my bedroom and seem very well made. I like that they can be adjusted in so many ways.
However, the installation template that came with them appears to be for a sconce with a larger base. I had to measure and level without using it. Not a huge problem, but it would certainly have been easier with the correct template.

Loved this little lamps style and price. I expected color to be somewhat different, as always, when buying online but it was way too different. Almost a silvery blue rather than the warm dark bronze tone it looked online. I decided to keep it anyhow and just do some rub on bronze paint. Unfortunately right after hanging it and adjusting the angles as the design allows it sparked out and no longer worked! So disappointing. Customer service at store was great but must have been made cheaply or wired wrong.

I put these sconces in my guest room and am quite satisfied with their scale, style and function. However, they were tricky to install because the holes for the screws in the back plate did not line up in true horizontal position relative to the long vertical bar. Fortunately I was forewarned by earlier posts on this site, so we knew to compensate for the slant of the screw positions and we didn't end up with tilted lamps. But it would have been SO much easier if the screw holes in the plates had been positioned with some common sense. We did not have this problem with the Adelle or the Chelsea sconce styles.
